The boom cradle
is built out of plywood. It's padded with foam and fleece out of my
wife's saddle shop. The cradle
is secured to the trailer floor with hinges. Half of the hinge is
mounted to the floor, the other half to the cradle. Just pull the
hinge pin to remove the cradle. Note the placement of the cradle.
It's just tall enough to remove about half the weight from the tail
wheel. That way the boom is supported on both ends and does not flex
in transit. |
